Editorial Policy
Editorial Policy
The Editorial Board bases its decisions and actions on the ethical principles that govern scientific journals, keeping up with the latest editorial advances on the international scene. In operational terms, submitted articles are evaluated by the Editorial Board for their scientific merit and compliance with the American Psychological Association (APA) guidelines and the journal's editorial standards, according to the stages defined by the Open Journal System (OJS) platform. Subsequently, the manuscripts are forwarded to at least two reviewers using a double-blind review system.
Based on the reviewers' assessments, the Editorial Board may decide to publish the article or suggest adjustments for adequacy. All submitted manuscripts must be accompanied by a letter of authorization for publication (electronic and printed) and a declaration of originality and exclusivity for publication in the journal.
None of the editorial bodies, educational and research institutions, or individuals involved in the boards, committees, or the editorial process are responsible for the content of the published articles. The authors are solely responsible for the opinions, ideas, and concepts expressed in the texts.
Boards and Committees
Editorial Board
The Editorial Board comprises academics from different teaching and research institutions who work preferably, but not exclusively, in the area of innovation. The members act individually through interaction with the Scientific Committee or the Editor without the need for regular meetings or formal involvement with the entity responsible for publishing the journal.
The members of the Editorial Board assist in formulating the Editorial Policy, promoting the journal, arbitrating strategic issues, and ensuring the publication's academic credibility. They do not supervise or interfere directly in the editorial process or the evaluation of articles.
Scientific Committee
The Scientific Committee is an inter-institutional collegiate body composed of research group representatives supporting the journal's development. Its decisions are made collectively and democratically, ensuring the credibility of the editorial procedures and assuming scientific responsibility for the publication.
Among its duties, the following stand out: appointing the scientific Editor, developing internal regulations on submission standards and evaluation criteria, accepting new research groups and reviewers, approving the budget, and defining circulation policies. The Scientific Committee does not directly interfere in INTERNEXT's editorial operations, which the scientific Editor and his team conduct.
Scientific Editor
The scientific Editor is responsible for formulating the Editorial Policy, managing the editorial process, and supervising the Editorial Secretariat, which manages the workflow on the OJS platform. His main functions include preliminary selection of articles, distribution to reviewers, and decision-making regarding whether to publish the texts, provided they meet the established quality standards.
The Editor also actively participates in the activities of the scientific committee and coordinates initiatives with the Editorial Board. A detailed flowchart of the publishing process is available on the OJS platform in the menu "About the Electronic Journal Publishing System."
Access and Indexing Mechanisms
Article Search
INTERNEXT users can search for articles using various search filters through the SEER platform (Electronic Journal Publishing System).
Online Indexers
INTERNEXT is an open-access journal. Its entire collection can be consulted and downloaded through indexing databases or the journal's website.
Statistical Access Control
The platform that hosts INTERNEXT has tools for monitoring access to the website and articles, including synchronizing downloads with the SPELL—ANPAD website.
ORCID Registration
To standardize authorship, the ORCID ID must be included at the time of submission. If a manuscript does not have an ORCID ID registered in the system, the authors will be notified to include it before sending it for evaluation. The ORCID registration must contain information about the academic background and employment relationship (when applicable).
The ORCID iD can be obtained free of charge at https://orcid.org/register. The identifier must be entered in the platform following the complete pattern, with the expression "http://" (example: http://orcid.org/0000-0002-1825-0097). ORCID registration is mandatory for all authors.
