This article aims to present the procedural approach to researchers who will conduct studies with questions that demand a qualitative method and that, due to the nature of the research, need to understand phenomena in motion, dynamic, that is, procedural. Thus, we propose to walk the reader along the paths of the process, unveiling why to use the procedural approach, which is after all a process, main tips, how to collect data, essential steps, elementary authors and some examples of articles that used the aproach.
