Retraction Policy

IMPORTANT: This section presents principles and rules that may be similar or common to other journals published by the Prague Development Center. Therefore, the text may partially or fully coincide with the requirements of other publications published by the publisher.

As a publisher, we seek to minimize cases of retraction and withdrawal of published articles. Given the high costs of ensuring these processes, we adopt rigorous screening, peer review, authorship verification, and other preventive measures to avoid such situations. Below, we highlight the guidelines for PRADEC Publishing's retraction and withdrawal policies. These rules may be reviewed, supplemented, or modified as necessary.

Article Retraction

The publisher follows standards recognized by many libraries and academic institutions. Reasons for retraction may include:

  • Violations of ethical codes;
  • Multiple submissions;
  • False claims of authorship;
  • Plagiarism and academic fraud;
  • There is a need to correct substantial errors in submission or publication.

The publisher recognizes that retraction is an occasional aspect of academic publishing. The following actions will be taken for retracted articles:

  • Publishing a retraction notice titled "Retraction: [article title]" in a separate issue of the journal;
  • Including a notice in the HTML version of the article, such as a "RETRACTED" label next to the title;
  • Preserving the PDF version of the article with a special note at the beginning of the document;
  • Maintaining the DOI and HTML links.

Withdrawal and/or Removal of Articles

After publication, an article cannot be removed except by the sole decision of the publisher. Once reviewed, evaluated, and published online or in print, its withdrawal is subject to editorial deliberation.

Published articles are immediately indexed and registered with DOIs. The publisher's final decision on removing an article rests solely with them and may only occur in exceptional circumstances. Typically, this process involves a detailed analysis, examination of the justifications, and negotiations to ensure that all parties involved are heard before making a final decision.
